Difference between cast iron and wrought iron

Cast iron versus Wrought iron

One misconception is that cast iron refers to early iron work or it may be wrought iron. But there are some basic difference between those two is simple:

·         Cast iron – is the iron that should make melt and pour into a mold and make it cool.
·         Wrought iron – is the iron that has to be heated first and then work with tools.

Their names only defines how they will be formed. But that is a very simple distinction. Let’s look up in more depth into more significant differences between them. The new form of cast iron is called as “Ductile Iron”, which is offering many benefits of both cast iron and wrought iron.
